Roxa Damas
With only a secondhand controller and a random array of around 100 tracks on a USB key, Roxa impressively burst onto the London DJ scene in 2021. Since then, she’s established her signature style and secured a spot as a resident DJ within the renowned international private members club, Soho House in 2022.
In their newly refurbished promenade, the Dorchester Hotel welcomed Roxa on NYE 23 to entertain their guests for the evening.
A trilogy of albums in her first few months of music production and unconventional performances have elevated Roxa Damas to a level few DJs reach in such a short space of time. “You’ve just got to have an insurmountable amount of self-belief,” says Roxa in The Bad Bitch Monologue of her first Album, À la House released on the 22nd of July 2022.
Roxa’s love for music in all forms comes across in her tracks and translates in her sets, playing multiple genres and different rhythms seamlessly to adapt to and cater for all listeners. Starting the Night with some Luther Vandross and ending it with some FISHER, having dropped some DJ Maphorisa along the way, DJ Roxa is described as a musical explorer by many as she effortlessly takes you on a journey through music.
