 SESSION GUIDELINES

For DJs & Live Acts

We’re thrilled to have you join our music crew! Your role as a DJ is integral to creating a memorable experience during our sessions. Whether it’s a live performance or an online DJ mix, your contribution is invaluable. To keep the vibe just right, we’ve put together some friendly guidelines to help everyone stay on the same page.

1. House Music

  •    Melodic House
  •    Deep House
  •    Progressive House
  •    Electro Pop

2. Techno Music

  •    Minimal Techno
  •    Melodic Techno
  •    Obscure Techno

How to keep the beats flowing

  • BPM Range: Let’s keep the energy flowing! Please ensure your sets are within the 120 BPM and 128 BPM range.
  • Set Duration: Every DJ is set to perform for 1hr and 30min.
  • Building the Atmosphere: We encourage DJs to build their sets progressively. Let the music evolve throughout the event to create an incredible journey for everyone.
  • DJ sets: KOKOH, the primary resident DJ, marks the start and close of every DJ set.
  • Opening Acts: We advise opening with music that creates a relaxed and inviting atmosphere as people arrive. Choose tracks that encourage conversation and create a welcoming vibe. Deep House, chill-out and lounge music are encouraged.
  • Closing Act: Explore those heavier sounds and productions. This is the moment to amp things up and give our audience a fantastic send-off. KOKOH or Paulo Navarro usually performs it.

  • Set Guidelines: As in our live sessions, please adhere to the genres and BPM range we’ve shared. 
  • Respect Copyright: Use music you have the right to, and remember to give credit where it’s due. Your understanding helps keep things fair and fun!
  • Showcase Spirit: We’d love for your mixes to reflect the essence of SOHO SESSIONS, so let’s keep that vibe alive!
